On Demand

Last night, I was watching The Wire on demand with Mom. One episode had two scenes with naked people. About the only thing I feel comfortable watching with her is old westerns because there is no nudity.

Anyway, the first scene was Kima (Sonja Sohn), lesbian detective, feasting on a woman's breast and Mom talked through the whole thing. That's the cop. Did you say she's cheatin? Her girlfriend is going to walk in on her. I told her to stop writing the story and just watch it. If I had been watching alone, I might have rewind to watch the too short scene again. I can do that with on demand.

Another scene was of a male detective having sex with his girlfriend. Mom didn't like that he was cheating on his wife even though they were separated. The guy was on top and the woman's legs was ... well you get the idea, watch the show. Mom talked through it. Look at him, look at him. Mom I'm looking. (and laughing). Sex scenes are not hot when watching it with my Mom. HA! It's actually funny. I'm laughing as I type this.

Mom likes Omar (Michael K. Williams) who is gay and tough. He is sort of a bad/good guy. I have seen this HBO series before but not in a while. I noticed something this viewing that I had not noticed before, one of the officials was at a gay bar. And in a later scene when he was in a room with other male officials, he referred to someone as a cocksucker. The c-word is what a drugdealer boss called Omar but they were scared of him.

Kima is good at her job but turns out to be a cheater in her personal life. What is it with shows that have a lesbian but she has to be a cheater? Can't anyone be faithful? Her girlfriend had a baby but I don't think Kima every touched or talked to him. Omar had two boyfriends but one at a time. He seemed to be the only main character that didn't cheat on his partner.

I will not watch the L-word with Mom. She wants to see it because Pam Grier is on it, but I will not load it and she doesn't know how to. Hey, I don't want her knowing what two women do together. HA!
